From Ghana to Nashville

I received an e-mail from a woman from Nashville, in March.  She wrote that she wanted to order an adoption quilt for her friend who was adopting a boy from Ghana.  That’s the short story.  The details of the story are both sad and beautiful.  Like, “bring tears to your eyes and change your perspective on humanity” kind of sad and beautiful.  Lori (the woman so wonderful as to order a surprise quilt for her friend) and I set to work on collaborating until we came up with an idea for this quilt.  IMG_0958I have never done a quilt like this before.  I loved every minute of making it.  I love the way it turned out.  Pictures truly don’t do it justice.Adoption Quilt close up
